General Zakat Fund
Allow us to use your zakat funds where it’s needed. We will make sure that your zakat-al-mal is distributed to eligible recipients in an appropriate manner that will make the greatest impact. Thank you for trusting us to handle this religious obligation on your behalf. We promise to handle it in the best manner. Additionally, because zakat is ideally meant to be given as currency so that the recipient can use it for whatever their needs are, Kama Relief obtains permission (wakala) from the recipient to receive goods in lieu of cash. When you donate your zakat to us, know that is in goods hands, Insha Allah.
Family Food Rations
Kama Relief is dedicated to fighting hunger. With food prices continuously rising during a time of high economic instability and lack of work, families are unable to afford stable food items. With your help, we provide monthly food rations for those most in need; families who have virtually nothing and rely on our aid to support them. Our food rations include a variety of staple food items, such as rice, flour, beans, lentils, oil, and sugar. Help a needy family today. For just $35/month, you can help make sure a family does not go to sleep hungry. This program is zakat-eligible.
Emergency/Medical Aid Assistance
From devastating earthquakes and floods to medical emergencies and needs, an immediate and adequate response is critical to saving lives and helping families get back on their feet. When families are already living in dire conditions, these crises and disasters are even more devastating. Every minute counts. Kama Relief has been on the ground responding to numerous emergencies over the last decade. We need your help to always stay ready. Please consider donating to this cause. For as little as $100, we can provide emergency food, household goods, and supplies to make sure basic needs are taken care of. Or for $200, provide temporary shelter and support through the emergency. Please give. You just may be saving a life. This program is zakat-eligible.
Winter Relief Package
Winter can be a difficult time for many families and individuals, but it is especially hard for the most vulnerable families in Afghanistan especially widows, orphans, the disabled, and the elderly. Our winter packages are designed to not only help provide basic food supplies, but with additional winter supplies such as blankets, shawls, shoes, socks, fuel, and other household goods. With our Winter Relief Packages, we aim to provide a sense of comfort and relief to those who need it most during the coldest time of the year. For as little as $50, you can provide a winter package to a needy family. This program is zakat-eligible.
SPONSOR ORPHAN FAMILY
Every child deserves loving and supportive care, a stable home environment, education, and food to keep them healthy and active. Unfortunately, many children are orphaned and left without the care they need. At Kama Relief, we advocate for keeping families together and supporting them. Instead of sponsoring individual orphans, we support entire orphan families; all the siblings and their caretakers, often the widowed mother or a close relative. This way the family stays together, and supports one another, while a single donation provides support for all everyone. Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said “The best household amongst the Muslims is one where an orphan is treated well.” Let’s be among that group where our support brings good treatment to an orphan.
Your donation will go towards providing for the family’s needs (often food and clothing, but also medical, education, or shelter as needed), helping them build a brighter future together. Join us in making a lasting impact in the lives of these vulnerable children. For as little as $35/month for a small family to $50/month for a large family, you can help support these precious children. The benefit is so great, and the reward is so high.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, after holding up 2 fingers next to each other, said “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be like this in Paradise.” Let’s be with our Beloved Nabi (peace be upon him) in Paradise, while helping the orphans. Ramadan Food Basket
Ramadan is a time of worship, gratitude, and giving back. While millions of Muslims all over the world fast from food and drink during the day, eating a nice meal at the end of the day, much of our ummah (people), unfortunately, does not have a nice meal, if any, to look forward to at the end of each day. Let’s help provide a little extra during this special month, making sure all families can enjoy a warm meal at iftar (evening meal to break their fast) and enough nourishment to keep them healthy. A Ramadan Food Basket consists of basic supplies such as flour, oil, rice, lentils, and salt, and will often include dates and tea to bring comfort.
Make this Ramadan a little more special for an orphan family and their widow mom, for a disabled young man unable to take care of his family, for the elderly, and for the needy. For just $50, you can bring a smile and comfort to these families. Imagine the reward: Our Prophet (peace and blessing be on him) said “Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward similar to the fasting person.” Let’s give of ourselves this Ramadan. New Clothes for Orphans
Usually, during Eid-ul-Fitr and or Eid-ul-Adha, but also at other times, Kama Relief wants to make sure orphans feel the same joy and happiness that other children feel by providing as many of them as possible with new clothes to celebrate the occasion. Our program provides both young girls and boys with new outfits. With your donation, you can bring joy to these vulnerable children, helping them feel loved and cared for and making their Eid celebration memorable. For just $10 for a new outfit, you can bring a much-needed smile to a young boy or girl. Is there anything more rewarding than that? This program is zakat-eligible.
